Upper Oreti Hut
This is a easy flat 4wd track only a few km long off the Mt Nicholas Rd. If you pass the hut it looks like it rejoins the road (now called Mavora Lakes Rd). This would be an interesting detour from the around the mountain trail.
There was a bit of water on the track (large puddles and rivers) so expect to get wet.
Nice views from the hut, plenty camping areas.
and at the time of visiting (2020 Feb) there was a comfy seat to enjoy it on.
inside is cozy, more comfy seats.
